 Ok. I'm not tech savvy. I know only enough to keep my system healthy and play my games. I want a Teamspeak server of my own to use for my Guild on W.o.W. and my Club on TROVE. I want it dedicated to just that. No public access, only restricted to those that are given access.
I thought I would just download a program, claim my own "corner" and give a password, and then always have that "room" as my Club/Guild teamspeak chat available to us. However, I have come to realize doing this is putting each of my guild and club members through a computer(server) that belongs to someone else.
Is there a way to make my own server... say with an slightly outdated desktop tower that would always be on and connected to the internet giving everyone, from my guild and club, at any given time access to talk to eachother whether I am available or not? If so, how do I do this? Can someone link me a detailed TS3 server setup guide for dummies or something? Because that's what I need. I look at the forums and I see gibberish because I understand not even an Inkling of half of what's talked about. Step by step instructions with visuals, I got that.
Anyone? Or at least point me somewhere that will give this type of service at a low monthly cost... But I hear Teamspeak has the absolute BEST clarity, connectivity, and overall function of any of the voice protocol clients. So, would much rather this.
New to this. no idea what to do. Help please.
