Hi all, I own a home made ts3 server and a 30 Mb download / 3.3 Mb upload speed.
The server:
- 20 slots
- Opus Voice codec, quality 10 --> 7,71 Kbps
I want to be sure about being able to handle 20 people talking on the same channel at the same time.
So following the next calculations, please let me know if I am doing this right.
DOWN: people_speaking_atm * selected_codec
UP: people_speaking_atm * (people_in_channel - 1) * selected_codec
DOWN: 20 * 7,71 = 154,2 Kbit/s --> 0,15 Mb/s
UP: 20 * (20 - 1) * 7,71 = 2929,8 Kbit/s --> 3 Mb/s
