TS3 & Windows 10 - Client Not Displaying

dimanche 20 septembre 2015

Recently had a friend who uploaded the Windows 10 free upgrade. For the first 2 weeks after the upgrade her TeamSpeak (TS3 ver 3.0.17) client worked fine. Then all of a sudden she could not access the client control panel and could not login to our server.

After several frustrating days for her I casually asked if she was running 1 or 2 monitors on her system. My thought was that perhaps the client was minimized or hidden on the 2nd monitor. She informed me that she had only 1 physical monitor connected to her system. On a lark we checked her display settings anyway and found that Windows 10 had set her system for dual monitors, extended desktop! The best we can figure is that after one of Windows 10 stealth updates, her system settings for her display were automatically changed. Why this happened? Only Microsoft knows. Once she changed the settings to single monitor, the client "magically" appeared and she was able to login and connect.

So if you run across this problem running TS3 in Windows 10, even though you may have only 1 monitor connected, check the display settings.
