Getting Started with TEAMSPEAK first time

Please bear with me but while I am a highly technical computer guy I can not figure out how to join a TEAMSPEAK session in FSX-SE.

I know fsx quite well and just want to have fun on internet with other flyers, nothing serious, I do not need to host a session...

I see server port numbers on the multplayer network setups screen (6xxx-6xxx) ?

When I join via Steam online (not LAN), some show addr for teamspeak w wo a password...

I tried some LAN addr's but always says can no connect (I was using Steam Online)

I was getting very choppy sounds from players at first but I think that may have been fsx native multiplayer and not teamspeak

I see Voice option is fsx multplayer which is checked on, I tried it off

Now I can see other flyers but not hearing anything.

Need to be pointed to step by step for how to use teamspeak, and which is best...
FSX-SE online or offline
Steam sessions or by LAN

I must be missing the one thing that hooks me to the same server the voices are coming from

HELP if you have the ime to guide me...
