Hello!
Last night I set up my new Logitech G930 Headset and I faced the following problems with Teamspeak 3 :
Case 1: I start Ts3 and the sound and the microphone is fine. However, if I start games like LoL, CS:GO or Rocket League afterwards I got no ingame sound at all. My System sounds and e.g. Youtube sounds in my browser get disabled as well when I connect on a Teamspeak server. Note, that I checked "do nothing" in my Windows sound/communication options.
Case 2: I tried out starting a game first and then Ts3. I then get a warning that my playback device could not be found and my sound in Teamspeak gets muted. Then two different things can happen: The first one is that I (am able to) play the test sound in the options. I then get unmuted in Ts, but the other open applications are losing their sound again. The second one is that i'm not able to play the test sound. Instead I get the error "could not open playback device". The sound in the other applications then remain unchanged.
I opened the sound mixer to check if anything was unmuted but there simply was no level at all in the applications that had no sound ( level only in Ts3 but none in the other applications - and vice verca).
Maybe a hint to Case 1: To check, I clicked on the regulator of the system sounds and there was no sound. However, in the moment a friend of mine talked in Teamspeak there suddenly was the "ping"-Windows sound when I clicked on the regulator. This worked for ~5 seconds whenever he stopped talking and then got silent again.
I got Windows 7 64-Bit. The Teamspeak 3 client and the Logitech driver is up-to-date. I tried out different USB-ports, didn't help. The G930 is set as my standard playback device.
What baffles me is that I'm using this kind of headset for over a year now and I never had issues with Ts3 whatsoever. My old G930 broke a month ago so I had to send it in. In the meantime I used a jack plug headset (no issues with that). Yesterday the new G930 arrived and suddenly I'm facing the abovementioned problems.
I can't get a grasp on what I'm missing and unfortanetely other threads couldn't help me with my problem. I would be very thankful if someone can help me with this issue. Please let me know if you need any further informations.
Best regards!
