Windows console & server shutdown question

Hello guys!

There are two little problems I want to fix/know.

First is the windows console, which isn't loggin I read in posts from 2010.
Now much time gone and I would know, something changed with logging
in windows console or is it unpossible, too at the moment?

Which things I can do with open_in_console parameter?
Are there any commands which can be insert?


Second problem is the server shutdown for system reboot.

Is it needed to right click the icon and use "quite" or simply to kill the process?
Are there any difference between the two ways maybe for saving things into the DB?
