Windows 2008 server dns, domain etc

Ive searched, read and tried and I cant seem to get a domain working instead of IP.

Using a dedicated box windows 2008
installed ts3 files, direct ip works ( no port used when connecting )

I have a domain name I am trying to use...

Does the domain need custom name servers set to something?

Is there not a complete guide, video , or screenshots anywhere that someone has done for windows server 2008?
