Im a long time ventrilo user, but for a new guild I recently went with teamspeak. I havent used teamspeak in years. What im trying to figure out is, how does teamspeak know who I am, and that I am the server admin when I log in without any password? Im using typefrag as a host and have been setting things up. I have to use a "privilege key" to gain admin power, and that key is generated in the typefrag control panel. Once I input that key though it remembers me, somehow. It cant be just by username though. There is never a password entered to access the server. Im just trying to make sure I have things set up securely. There must be some kind of unique identifier of each person - is this tied to the computer or the username or what? What happens if someone who has joined before, and been "recognized" by the server changes their nickname? Will the server recognize them as a new user, and thus reset any assigned privileges ? I'm just trying to see how teamspeak is handling this.
Question about users and admin power
