Hello. I've been using TeamSpeak 3 with some success on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, using a variety of Bluetooth headsets, while playing an online game with friends.

I'm told that my voice quality is very good while we're chatting between games, but I become nearly inaudible beneath a ton of scratching noises once we are playing a game.

What we've discovered is that TeamSpeak 3 keeps the phone mic active, even when I choose in the settings for the app to use my Bluetooth device. Thus, the movement of my fingers on the screen is creating scratching noises that overpower my voice that's being picked up otherwise by my Bluetooth headset because Team Speak appears to be activating both microphones, inexplicably.

There must be some way to have Team Speak 3 disable the phone mic when I select Use Bluetooth in Settings, but I cannot find this option anywhere.

I have a problem on my TS server that im not sure why happens. It not all the time, but when it happens i have not managed to find a fix.

The problem is that when someone talks, the voice get looped back through someone else's client and makes an echo. Everyone uses headset and the problem only happens in TS, not skype or ingame voice.

Anyone know of a fix for this and what the problem might be?

Hello,

since I have installed TS3 I have problems with the sound of videos I watch while I'm on a TS3-Server. Before joining one there is no issue, but directly after I connected, the sound is going lower and dead ("Dumpf" in German) by itself. I disabled the Communication-Settings, and watched at the "Mixing-Setup" while joining a Server the only thing I see, ist that the volume is going down but the control of the volume stay at its place. This drives me really crazy and I cannot find any solution.

I don't have the plugin "Voice Control" which I could deactivate. Can someone help me?

Hello guys I have my one Teamspeak3 server and I want to configure some settings but I don´t know how to do this :confused: so I need advice. I have recently visited other TS3 servers to get a view of other TS3 to set up my own and I have seen a TS3 server where a new channel was created if the one above it was used so say I was joining the Talk1 then after me Joining Talk1 another channel appeared called Talk2 I want to know how I am able to do this this would help me alot and it would make the server look neater I will accept all the advice and appreciate you for the help :D.

I want to move a user to a channel with a topic that matches a certain string (e.g. channelTopic). There's no other channel that has the same topic on the server. I assume the way to do this is to get the channel ID from the topic. However, I can't, for the life of me, work out how to do this. Maybe I'm just being stupid, can anyone else set me right?

But I'm not following right now: I give Admin 70 powers by Group Member Add Power, I say most groups NEED 50 power, and my Admins cant add those groups to people... Someone that can help me?

TS3 64bit Humming noise

I just got my new Xidax Computer. I am running Windows 10 and a 64 bit system, and my headphones and mic built in plug into the computer by USB.
I installed the 64bit client and went to my clans IP address, but when I go talk in the setup wizard, I can hear myself talk with a humming sound in the background.

Any ideas?

So I've been using teamspeak for ages and kinda half only realised it seems to do this.

I'll be listening to music(spotify or youtube via chrome) and whenever someone speaks on TS3 it'll lower the volume down. Then when they stop it'll slowly fade back in.

I've searched and found the same answer to it. I don't have the volume control plugin. Windows sound is set to "not allow exclusive control" and communications is set to "do nothing." I've checked TS3 settings, and windows settings, spotify settings, but there's nothing that seems to point to this.

Any clues?

Bizarre connection problem

So I host a TS3 server on my PC, just for me and 2 other friends. Last night I was talking with one of them when we both timed out suddenly. Now no one can connect.

Here's all the info I can think of:

-Server version is 3.0.11.4, client version is 3.0.18.2
-I can access the server from my PC (the machine it's running on) using the localhost address.
-I can still connect to the server from devices on my LAN if I use my local IP.
-No one can connect using the IP that previously worked, which was my public/external IP.
-Nothing has changed with my router's ports, or with my firewall.

I have a problem to launch Teamspeak on Win 8.1. If I start teamspeak, I see error: A referral was returned by the server. Yesterday worked. Computer didn't install any update since yesterday. OS, NET framework and visual cpp redistributable is updated. I tried reinstall 3 times with CCleaner and run as administrator. I am administrator on my PC. I checked my rights. I tried run TS with compatible with older OS....nothing changed.

I found "solution" on the internet (http://goo.gl/oX8RQQ) but I cannot find 'User Account Control: Only elevate executables that are signed and validated' in my Security option in PC.

Please help :(.

Just joined in here, and have ofc. tried searching both here and on google.

Well i had to re-install so i went to identities and took a backup. After re-installing i did the same and imported the file, but i do NOT get my admin rights with me. I haven´t forgot to choose the new imported profil "default1" as default.

Any good suggestions?

Yesterday i was on a public teamspeak server, that had in the channel description a text in bold : "Add to Favorites" .
When i clicked on it, my favorite-list opened and i just need to click Ok and then their server was added to my favorites.

I want this too on my server and i lost the ip of this server with this special thing.

This was an automatic command, to add their server to your favorite list and this is very useful, because new users just need 1 click !
I think this is only a ‎forwarding, but it would be very useful.

Hi there,

I tried to connect to teamspeaks own server and got an instant VPN ban. Why? I seriosuly do not know since I do not run any type of VPN. I have however different DNS servers than what my ISP has, though that should not be the reason for the ban.

If I lookup my own IP at ip-tracker.org - I can track myslef down to my own town where I live, the right ISP etc.

Can any teamspeak employee sort this out?

Is it possible to create a Channel Group that prevents a user from leaving?

I created a group originally called "Anchored" with the permissions:

b_channel_join_semi_permanent: false
b_channel_join_temporary: false
i_channel_join_power: 0

Thinking that it would prevent a user from being able to join another channel. Instead, it prevents the user from being able to rejoin the channel. I have thus renamed the group to "Channel Banned", but I would still like to know: is it possible to have a "Channel Anchored" group and prevent a user from leaving a channel?

Server Connection Issue.

I have never had this issue before. I am not banned, and my wi-fi is fairly good. I am running Windows 10.
This is very strange as it is a recent issue and has only happened over the last 3 days or so.

Hello, i got my domain (mydomain.com) and Teamspeak 3 server which using default port (9987). Now im looking for solution for my dillema, i want to setup webhosting for my site and setup SRV record to redirect to my server.

Example:

mydomain.com - redirect to my web presentation, site.
mydomain.com - redirect to my teamspeak server using SRV records.

Is this possible, i cannot find solutions for this on forum.

I tested this in many servers and with and without client restart but nothing happends so all channels are permanently opened.

So THIS must be changed to the following:

The client MUST know which tree was open and which was closed by the user self. On the next connection should then only be those channels shown, which where opened in the last session and not more or less.

So this is a point which wont work either the client has the default skin or an individually ones.

I would like to start some code when I start recording the channel. So I wrote a plugin but I can't find any API to be notified when I start recording.

The only way is to create an item menu in my plugin and then start recording through the item menu ?

Ok so around the 15th November I started having issues with the ts3 call I join regularly - everyone on it uses either continuous transmission or voice detection. My Dad has made some changes to the router that he is being uncooperative about letting me have a look, saying he's changed everything back, prioritized gaming and VOIP, HOWEVER:
- In a call with around 4+ people in I start getting cut out and sometimes timed out from the server, mild packet loss (download, not upload)
- I get cut out when the amount of data I'm downloading is at about 20 KB/s. I am able to download files at around 400KB/s, but it seems I can't go over 20 KB/s in a ts3 call without getting disconnected.

I'm curious if I accidentally clicked a setting on ts3 that limits download - or - if it is a setting that has been tampered with on the router/home server (I'm not good with technical terms or even really all that much with technology). Either prove that it's to do with my Dad changing and then changing back the settings a while back, or something else.
Please let me know what you think, because I'm stumped.

User Hotkey Capture / Registration

I am attempting to write a teamspeak plugin using the SDK using C# and Visual Studio.

The first part of the process was to develop the user interface, which is nearly complete. I am sure the next part, integration with ts, will be harder, but am nonetheless stuck with the UI.

My user is to register three hotkeys with windows using the windows api user32.dll as set out below.

I have tried to replicate the ui in the ts client Setting/Options/Push to Talk button, with a button that when pressed launches a gray box and a listener, which stores the keys pressed and then repeats inside the button.text.

To achieve this I am using the KeyPress event which delivers KeyPressEventArgs. This looks first for the modifiers (SHF/ALT/CTRL/WIN) and then the key.

THIS ALL WORKS FINE WITH SHF, BUT GIVES NO KEY WITH THE OTHER MODIFIERS.

I wonder if someone familiar with the ts client source could tell me which of the windows procedures they use for hotkey capture. I am currently just logging away with protected override bool ProcessCmdKey(ref Message msg, Keys keyData) and protected override void WndProc(ref Message keyPressed) to see from the log files if I can identify the logic to use to achieve the goal. As I perform this mindless work, it occurred to me to ask you all for a pointer. It cannot be that hard!!

Teamspeak Keeps Crashing [PLEASE HELP]

My teamspeak client has been crashing for a month or so. I reinstalled Windows and installed teamspeak (3.0.18.1) and It has been crashing ever since. I've tried everything (reinstalling, updating to 3.0.18.2, deleting all files and installing new version). I don't know what else to try and I really need some help with this. (Extra data: Everytime I upload the crashdump the file is about 75000 to 85000 bytes)

TS3 volume linked to system volume

I have Windows 7, 64-bit and TS3 client. I use a simple USB headset for a PS4. It has one headphone I use for TS and I use my desktop speakers for music or games. Previously (prior to a reformat), the volume in TS was static, and my system/speaker volume was changed independently. I use a Logitec illuminated keyboard to raise and lower my system volume. Again, it worked fine like that for quite some time.

After the reformat, my TS volume in my headset is now linked to my system volume. When I raise the sound of my music, my TS volume goes up. This may sound handy, but for me it's not.

I've done the common fixes...in TS: Setting => Options => Playback... Playback Mode I've set to both Windows Audio Session and Direct Sound. Playback device is set to "Speakers (USB Chat Headset)". I've also made sure under Settings => Plugins... that the TeamSpeak 3 control plugin is enabled. In Windows, Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Sound => Communications... I have it set to "do nothing".

I can manually move the volume sliders for Firefox or something and have them different from TS, but as soon as I use the keyboard it evens everything out. One friend suggested I try another keyboard to see if that was the issue. I don't have another keyboard to try, and the current keyboard was installed and used initially without this issue.

Since update 3.0.17 and beyond, you are no longer able to use a (in windows) deactivated capslock as push to talk button. While with v. 3.0.16 it works flawlessly, as soon as you update to .17 or .18, it no longer recognizes the key. Please change it back to the old ways, so we capslock fans can embrace this beautiful key again and work towards its official re-branding as the push to talk key on all windows keyboards.

At the moment, I am sadly forced to stay at 3.0.16, which is sad - as without capslock as push to talk, it is just not the same!

Can't connect to any teamspeak server

Hi, since yesterday for no real reason i can find Teamspeak no longer connects to any server. No changes have been made to my computer.

I'm running Win10 x64

So far i have tried the following:
- running as administrator
- compatibility mode (Windows 8, 7, XP (Service Pack 3))
- restarting computer
- rebooting router
- port forwarding
- allowed teamspeak through firewall
- disabling firewall
- updating teamspeak
- using older version of teamspeak
- ipconfig/release, renew, flush dns
- clearing teamspeak cache
- reinstalling teamspeak

But i always get:

Hello , i used to connect to a server a friend has to play some games with him and some other people , but all of a sudden a few days ago i started getting this error :


I have tried reinstalling a lot of times and also went on the web to look for a solution but can't really find anything , some of the stuff i found i could not really understand since i am not really an expert on computers and they required some command promt stuff that i am terrible with.

Anyone got the slightest idea? I talked with them in skype and they said nobody else is experiencing such a problem at all... sigh.. i feel like i am left out :( ...

I have used TS for years with no problems, but I got a new computer in July and ever since I have been having problems. I cannot move users to or from any channels or it instantly crashes. Also I cannot right click and access the file browser, as soon i click open file browser it crashes. Please help.

Cannot connect to servers after installing a new modem.

Hello. We installed a new modem last week. I haven't been able to connect to the server I connect to on a daily basis. I did not have any problems beforehand. Whenever I attempt to connect, the client attempts a connection for roughly six seconds before I get a message of "Failed to connect to server" and the Teamspeak voice giving me an "Error!"

To test to see what the source of the problem is, I went to a friend's house and tried to connect there, and connected without issue. There is something involving the new modem that is messing with my ability to connect. I've tried firewall rules and re-installation. I haven't been able to figure out how to do a port-forward.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

My Ts3 crashes every time i start it up and i get a Ts3 error saying the client has crashed and Ive restarted my computer and Ive even reinstalled Ts3 but it still does it started about a week to a week and a half ago but i wasn't running the latest version when i used it but it still worked when i had that version it even thought it was older.

My teamspeak was running fine for months but last night randomly it stopped and i cannot connect to any teamspeak server at all.

Win10 x64

Hello all,

Myself and a couple of others run a pretty big server for Arma III.
We would like to keep track on the Helpdesk staff of how often they are moving in and out of the helpdesk channels.
I have been looking every where for some type of logging system but I am not able to find one.

Teamspeak Configurable Encryption

It looks like TS is configured to use AES-256 for control messages, and can optionally be set to use it for voice packets as well. However, as Teamspeak has OpenSSL built into it, this might allow different block based methods like Mumble's 128 bit OCB-AES variant (depending on what OpenSSL provides.)

Is there, or will there be a way to configure Teamspeak in the future to select different encryption modes globally through the server?

On an unrelated note, is there still a planned TCP mode for Teamspeak for a future version?

I have a group that has 2 sub power, I have a lounge that has 0 required sub power, but yet the group isn't subbed to it. This happens to multiple ranks; like a rank with 3 sub power

Hello!

After updating to win 10, i cant use ts3, when i game on steam. Ts3 goes into weird mode and dosent let me speak anymore + shows that the others are constantly on, steam wont even recognize my microphone, for example CS:GO dosent show that im speaking in game.

Hope anyone could help me fix it. Would be much appreciated.

i had earlier bulid of the TS Server running on the box with out any issues dont remember witch one

i all ready tried TS wrapper and RunAsv

How do I match a client ID with a user without digging around in the DB

I'm trying to use the client IDs (Read: NOT THE UID) as seen in the server log to determine what users were added to what server groups by who but the ID (Which is a number) isn't useful for this purpose and doesn't correlate with the UID or the username of the users in question.

From what I've read I have to go digging around querying in the database to make any use of the admin log? Seems like very poor design as I'm not giving all my moderators query access. Is there a better way?

So me and my friends are making a PHP TeamSpeak3 Bot that is making life easier but we couldn't put some things that we wanted to.

1. Make more characters in chat.

There's only maximum of 1024 characters that we can use in Private chat ;< Why not boost up to like 2048 or more :)

2. Make Gfx Interval to set it up to 1.

We also made a banner that's showing what time, date, what channel are you on,etc,etc but sometimes its just so slow that when its 8:54 on the banner its showing like 8:30...

3. Make more characters in Host Message.

We also made a function to Host message thats showing how much users and uptime of server but there's only maximum of 232 characters maximum I think. Why not boost it up to like 1k or something like that.

Teamspeak Wont Open

I have updated my teamspeak because it said I needed to in order to connect to a server and the new version wont boot. It makes space on my toolbar for it (shifts across) like it is open but instantly crashes and never opens. Hi, sorry for my bad english, but i am from Czech republic and i learn not much. My problem is like i write in title. One time i was on our clan server normal playing and i was disconnected from server and again i can't reconnect. Our server IP adress is 81.0.217.180:7754. I try install Teamspeak3 on my notebook because i think i will been using notebook for TS while i will be playing on PC games. But on notebook i can't connect on our server too but on others servers i can connect.

Crackling Sound while TS3 is open with my new G430 Headset

When i open teamspeak without opening something else, i get a low crackling voice all over my system (music, voice etc)from time to time. When i open a game such as Witcher 3 or ARK surival the crackeling nonstop and it gets so strong that it hurts listening to it. When i play Battlefront, it mutes at random times the game sound only and i have to restart my PC to fix it.

I got a Logitech G430 and it's not thier fault, i already contacted thier support and everything works fine until i open Teamspeak, even skype works.

I hope you can help me fix my settings and get rid of the problem
(I use the standart settings in teamspeak)

AVG killed my pc, ever since i cant connect to a specific server

I installed AVG today, in short it killed my pc, a lot of things stopped working, including teamspeak to my server.

So i uninstalled AVG and uninstalled Teamspeak.

I have reinstalled teamspeak, and no i cannot connect to my server. I can connect to any others but my own.

I have restarted my server several times to no avail, no other users can connect to the server

Its connectable by ts.gunchester.com

Error When Starting Server

I have an NPL license and am hosting a teamspeak 3 server however, now, when I start the server it gives me an error and shuts down. Any way to fix this?

i was trying to add my ts3 server to ts viewer so i can get a banner in my website but when ever i leave the port blank i get you should fill those. anyways why should i fill those when it is not needed to connect.

I've checked out the crashdumps.
But the .zip file is empty, so i can't open it.
In the normal logfiles are empty too.

Yesterday on one of my servers we had problem with connect. However a mobile clients were able to connect.
During the connection people has seen a following error: Disconnected from server (convert error).
After the vserver restart the problem disappear.

Had someone a similar problem?

Can't Connect to Server Anymore

So have been using the server for this side of forever without issue and all of a sudden I can't connect to it anymore. Most of my friends I've contacted who are on the server have no issues connecting whereas friends that are not on it can't seem to connect (least via tracert). There's the log of attempting to connect and a picture of doing a tracert. Any thoughts of fixing my issue?

Can't Connect to Server Anymore

Loss of server connection

I go to any portal and after 10-12 seconds there is a loss of connection, while it is not restored, reinstalled the Program, reinstalled Windows didn't help, what should I do?

I am using iOS 9.1 on a 4s and recently reinstalled the app to make sure it was current.

Until a few months ago the app worked great, connected via cellular or wi-fi. Starting maybe a few months ago while on cellular data it began disconnecting pretty quickly, within maybe 30 seconds of connecting. Wi-fi continued to work reliably so I didn't worry about it until maybe a month ago.

Now sometimes I can stay connected for a few hours while other times the conversation becomes stuttered then I loose connection. I cannot reconnect unless I close the app and relaunch it. It very consistently disconnects me now and I'm looking for a solution.

Maybe it is due to upgrading my operating system to 9.1? I'm not sure if that's when it stopped working but I'm not aware of any other changes.

About a week or so ago teamspeak stopped picking up my voice unless i put the mic almost inside my mouth. Other programs such as Skype works perfectly and teamspeak did for almost a year with this specific G430 mic. I'm using windows 10, I have reinstalled teamspeak, I have tried continuous, voice, and push to talk. Most of the time if i hold the mic right in front of my mouth it works decently well but once i get about an inch away it picks up only things directly talked into it, but again I can have the mic over neat my cheek and Skype picks it up perfectly and teamspeak did before this.

Not a very technical guy so please add more instructions than have you tried adjusting X but rather try going to y and then clicking z

Server Group Assigning Bot (HELP)

Hey guys! So i have a little challenge for you script devs. I'm trying to figure out a way to setup a bot someone can send a certain text message to, and receive permissions from it.

EXAMPLE:

A new user joins the TeamSpeak as servergroup "Guest". Guest has no permissions. Guest must read the rules to obtain permissions. At the bottom of the Rules page, there is text that says "Send this key to Bot to obtain membership: MEMBER". Guest sends message "MEMBER" to bot as a private chat text and is assigned servergroup Member because of it.

Now, riddle me this, is this even possible? I do not know PHP or write scripts. I'm hoping this isn't too elaborate for this great big TS community to come up with a solution! I look forward to hearing from all of you!

Server group cannot change channel group when channel admin

Hello!

I'm very confused right now. It's possible me or another admin has changed a permission somewhere causing all of this, but here goes.

I have a custom made server group called "VIP" which has the power to move users around.
I also have a lot of custom made channel groups with the only purpose of being an icon next to a user's name - that channel admins can set on their users.

Problem 1: VIP cannot move users around if they are in a channel where they are a channel admin.
Problem 1 fix: Set b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions to Yes.

Problem 2 caused by Problem 1 fix: VIP can move users around but can no longer set channel groups on his or her users when being in a channel where they are channel admin.

Any ideas and help would be appreciated and you most likely need more information from me but I'm unsure exactly what that information is, so ask and I shall give!

How to backup and import Server and client

I currently run 2 pcs in here. One is running windows 7 pro and acts as a media server for all my media drives and hosts my teamspeak server for steam group. Second pc that I use for gaming is running windows 7 ultimate currently and I use teamspeak client on here as one and only admin to server.

I am seeking to reformat both rigs, the end result being windows7pro still on server rig and a dual-boot of windows7ultimate/windows10pro on this rig.

I have put alot of work into my permissions setup and such and would hate to lose all of the users permissions.

Whats steps or other threads possibly should I take or look into for this to be done well. I am hoping in the end to have my server rig less cluttered and fix the installs of a few things(such as stupid broken bitdefender) but do not wish to lose all this work, and on this rig I am going to have to add an admin profile in addition to retaining the current one after reformat?
