allowing admins to edit channels

hello TS team,

i am trying to allow my admins the ability to edit rooms that they have high enough permissions with.
for example.
server admin = 75
admin = 60
if a channel is set higher then 61 then admin level cannot modify it.

my problem is that i have granted access for admins to do this.
i_channel_needed_permission_modify_power "Value = 60 skip[] Negate[] Grant=75"
i_channel_permission_modify_power "Value = 60 skip[] Negate[] Grant=75"

admins can view the channel permissions they just cannot modify them, even when modify power = 0
it appears when when i look at permission overview at admin & server admin apart from 60 & 75 grant power its all fine.
i get error message of "insufficient permission modify power" and on the channel permissions tab i get error message of "error applying permissions".

i believe this could be a simple fix however nothing that i have read on all forums have been able to help me.

Ability to Right click and copy peoples names

Suggestion:
I would like to see a feature the give you the ability to right click and copy peoples names.

Why:
Most Team speak Servers are for gaming community's and some gaming community such as Arma 2 have a police force witch normally has some sorta google sheet where you paste ever ones names that need to get white listed. Just make TS3 a bit more user friendly and a better tool.

Unlimited transfer limit - "File transfer limit reached"

I've been unable to find answers anywhere else on this forum. My issue is when attempting to upload icons (or anything in file browser) I get the error message "Transfer "icon_2277514045" reports: (file transfer limit reached)". Worked at one point, but it doesn't anymore. I hadn't messed with the settings. Once in a while I also received the message "Could not open file transfer connection."

The server is hosted on my Linux VPS with around 450GB data left.
Under "Virtual Server -> Transfers", everything is set to -1, which should mean unlimited(?). Permissions are set for file transfer and manage icons. Ports are forwarded (Voice is hosted on port 12605, and file is hosted on 12608(due to limited port range)).

Hey dev´s is there a way to not show the Overwulf Icon on the server if someone uses overwulf. It destroys my icon order.
ATM i just auto kick clients using overwulf but that cant be the solution. so is there a way?

I'm fiddling around with the Query and when I use 'channellist -icon', some returned icon ID values.
For example, I'm getting a value of '-576820448' when it's supposed to be 3718146848.

Surround Sound Mic Question

Hello guys I have a quick question I have a AT2020 Microphone with a ProFX8 v2 USB Mixer and I use to be able to make my voice appear in only one ear when certain Teamspeak 3 channels are set to the "music settings". When I use to make a Blue Yeti that use to work, I would talk in one side of my microphone and it would appear in the users left or right ear.

So my question is how do I make my AT2020 only work in one ear for other users in a "music setting" channel.

Hey,

Does anyone know if with a lua script it's possible to auto-reply to the first message received only? I've seen lua scripts to reply to each message received but cannot find out if it's possible to reply only to the first received message and ignore any after that.

Game Icons only.

i am running a rented TS3 server.
my server is basically just using server group permissions.
i remove all channel group permission as i had permission conflict-ions & there is no need to more then 1 set of permissions.

i have also gone & added game Icons for the different games we play, however now since i have given -1 permission inside the games icons with basically no permissions except to give them self's these icons they now admins don't have access to do anything. including server admin.

any help would be great to help me out with this.

Hi everybody,

i have a strange problem with windows 10 + the Playstation3 Wireless Headset.

When i start TS3 and go into "Options / Recording Settings" everything works fine (i can hear myself)

As soon i connect to any server, the mic does not work anymore in most cases.
When i enter now "Options / Recordings Settings" the mic is without function.

Sometimes it works, but i dont know why.

I already tried the following settings (im translating from german, so i hope i translate correct ;-) )

- Applications have exclusive access to device -> yes / no
- Recording-Mode -> Direct Audio / Windows Audio Session


Maybe you have a clue what could be the reason if the mic does not work anymore AFTER connecting to a server?

I created the channel afk with needed talk power set to 999 so no one can talk there. But everyone can grant talk power to himself and to others. Doing this they can talk also in afk channel. Is there a way to remove the permission to grant talk power only in the afk channel?

So the issue is that I have tried adding a couple plugins that I have downloaded and copied them into the plugins folder.
I restart TS3, and go to the plugins tab only to find nothing appears. Tried reloading and still nothing.
The API versions match the latest version but nothing.

Am I missing something on the setup?

I have had this issue for a while now, where super admins (third highest rank on my server) are able to give themselves every rank lower than what they are. Obviously, this is fine as they need to assign people ranks when required, but they are giving themselves every rank other than the ones higher than themselves and it is becoming annoying. Is there a way to stop them being able to do this without cutting off their ability to give ranks completely?

NEW BUG: Windows 10 or MSI Ghost Pro

This just started happening but when I have TeamSpeak x64 loaded, it will occasionally freeze and the only way to close it is through Task Manager. On my Windows 8.1 desktop, I have no issues but on my Windows 10 laptop it happens.

So I'm not sure if its that OR MSI Ghost Pro needs to update their BIOS.

I currently have a server at example.com:7721. I need to move that to ts.example.net, where example.net is a completely new server. Is there a way to redirect (and possibly update bookmarks if I'm really lucky)? I can create a modal popup at connect for a couple weeks if necessary, but some method for a proper redirect would be phenomenal.

Hello everyone. Im asking just one simple php page, but since I dont know any php ts3 framework I ask you.

Here is what I need.

I need it to look like simple form with 3 lines :
ServerGroupID (thats my template that will be used to make copy of it and name will be set in second line)
ServerGroupName (that will be name of copied servergroup)
ChannelID (this will be used for uploading txt file I will explain)

So first of all I enter all these three values when I enter submit I need script to do:

Make copy servergroup from template which was desired by servergroup ID in first line, set it name to what was desired in second line.
Make 50 privilege keys for that new servergroup and save it into tokens.txt file (one token per line).
That tokens.txt needs to be sent into channelID desired in last line.

I used to have some forced push to talk channels, but since i upgraded the server to the latest version all clients connecting can use voice activation.
I have checked the settings and the channels are still set for forced push to talk, none of the clients have permission to skip it.

Teamspeak server shut down while pid is running, nothing in logs?

i have 2 log files from yesterday. One that shows lastly that i assigned a user group to someone. Another log that shows this:

everytime I try to start Teamspeak 3 it pops up in the taskmanager as a process is running, but after awhile it just shuts down. While I have this problem about 2 days now I'm trying to seek help. I installed/uninstalled TS3 almost 6 times, doesn't help. To be precise I don't really understand the problem. I tryed to open it as an administrator, it loads and then nothing happens. I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Bit. Hope someone of you can help me. :)

AFK channel, "User joined your channel" how to disable in just these types of channel

I'm fairly often in our TS server's afk, or semi-afk channel, I'm not necessarily afk, so I still hear the sounds. What bothers me, is that in these channels, speech is turned off, but I still hear the sounds "User joined your channel", "User has left your channel". These notifications are completely useless in these channels, as I do not need to know that someone else in our 100 slot TS server has gone afk, or come back.

I can't turn off the notifications, as it is important for me to hear them when I am not in the afk channel. And having a hotkey to it would most likely make me forget to use it. Which can be a bad idea if I am talking to someone on a channel about sensitive stuff that not everyone else should hear.

Please, tell me there is a way for me to set a specific channel to not give these notifications. Or a way for the server admin to do so.

MSI Nahimic Program freezes teamspeak

Teamspeak been freezing every 10 mins or so and 100% of freezing if I clicked the settings tab or right click a user.
I've refreshed my laptop twice and just reinstalled fresh windows 10 (deleting everything). Finally found the problem after 2 months, since the new Nahimic update. After uninstalling the Nahimic program, it doesn't freeze anymore.

*Freezing as in everything inside teamspeak is unclickable (can't even mute with assigned key). Minimize button works, Closed button doesn't do anything even though it's clickable. Sound and Mic still works though, only way to close Teamspeak is through task manager.

I recently purchased a new laptop, and am now trying to use Teamspeak to talk to my friends.
However, when I try to do something that requires clicking on something in the client (for example, change volume for other users, or even browse my options or use the text chat), the teamspeak client will freeze, and I will not be able to talk to my friends (using touch-to-speak). I am able to hear them. The only way to close the program is to end the task, using the task manager.

I have tried re-installing, and both the 32-bit and 64-bit programs.

I am running Windows 10, and I have tried running it in windows 7 compatibility mode. I am always running the program as admin.
I have downloaded the program from the official site.

Any help would be appreciated!

Client freezes

Cannot connect to certain servers.

I've been trying to connect to woodycraft.net and I get the message "Failed to connect to Server." I've never been able to connect to it previously, and I contacted my internet provider on 12/21/15 to see if they could help me resolve the issue. They told me that the issue is not on they're end and to contact TeamSpeak for support. I've re-installed the client a multitude of times, and still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So my friend gets message notifications when someone sends a chat message so he doesn't have to change tabs to see when hes playing a game. I am on windows 7 and I don't know if it doesnt work on this version but I don't see why it wouldn't. I don't know how to toggle it I played with the options for at least an hour now and I cant find how to. Please help.

App Crashes

Since the Update from the 08/09 Dec 2015 Version 3.0.21 the App Crashed after try to Connect to any Server i have no App Changes. Only the Update from 3.0.20.2 to 3.0.21 I use a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge All Apps and the Handy Software are Up2date.

Gives any Chance to become a newer Version or the older Version 3.0.20.2? or i Fix for this.

I haven't had an issue with TS until yesterday. I got myself a new headset Logitech G430 and installed all drivers and such. I went straight into a game of League of Legends with a couple of friends and when I got in I had zero ingame sound. I exited out of Teamspeak and reloaded League and pow i had audio again. I have tried several things to fix it however none to avail

The problem seems something along these lines.
If I open Teamspeak it mutes all other applications

If i do not have teamspeak open than i can do all those things with audio

Greetings TS Forum users, hope you're all having a good day!

I'm seeking help from you guys in order to address the following problems:

I'm a frequent TS user and I pay a server-provider for my own TS3 server.
I've never experienced problems with TS3, I've never faced any disconnects etc
Until a couple of months ago, when I reinstalled my computer, a few months ago.

Then I started to experience some lags (robotic) when others talked, while they said they heard
Each other fine, and said that I was the one lagging, I started to get disconnected for
10-20 seconds, and could later reconnect again, and it was back to normal.

This used to happen until recently, when I opened all the ports for TS3, in hope of
finding the solution. This resulted in that I don't hear the others lag, I hear them perfectly
fine, but they still hear me becoming a robot, and I still disconnect frequently.

The funny thing is that once I'm disconnected from the server I own, I can still
other server without any problem whatsoever. Remember I don't host this server myself.

Anyway, my voice is still robotic, my friends are complaining its loud. This can happen
every 10-15 minutes. Sometimes it happens every hour, on a good day.

I'm using a wired connection of 100/100, with a cable from my PC to port 1 in my router.
My dad never complains that he's experiencing issues with the network, so obviously it has
to do with the internet settings on my PC, as I'm the only one experiencing these problems.
Reminder: I have opened l the ports for TS3 (this stopped me from experiencing robotic voices
from my friends).

Also worth to mention is that every time I get disconnected, my webpages either load really slow or they can't load at all, and the IRC client I'm using (hexchat) disconnects from the servers I'm using. (Connection to peer reset)
is the message that I get. Steam, the games I'm playing, spotify and everything else doesn't get affected at all.

You could pretty much say it feels like my TS3, google chrome and hexchat gets DDOSed for 20-30 secs every now and then.

So yeah, it's an Internet problem for sure, that only affects me.
So now I'm reaching out to you guys, hoping for a helping hand.

I have trouble with connecting to my own ts server. When i try connect my ts3 client give me information ''Disconnected from server (convert error)''. Everyone can join to server without a problem, only i heave this problem. I already uninstalled and installed ts3 client again but this don't help. I can connect to a server which is placed on the same vps and the same ts3 license.

Guest and Normal Usergroups do not have the permission to see ther server banner.
Admin User Group can see it.

Which permission i must change to fix it?

TS Audio Question/ Problem

Hi guys,

I recently upgraded my PC, which obviously included a new motherboard.
Everything, is working fine, except when I use Stereo Mix, to broadcast music. Other users listening, say they hear it loud and clear for a minute, then it fades out, to silent, and then nothing except static.

However, when I go into my Audio Manager, and select Realtek Digital Output, as the default playback device, users report hearing music loud and clear, with no fading. However, with digital output selected, I cannot hear anyone talking in TeamSpeak, nor can I hear any TS sounds, along with not hearing ANY system sounds what-so-ever.

I have even tried selecting playback as digital output in TS, but that still does not work.
If I wish to hear my system sounds & TeamSpeak sounds again, I must make Speakers the default device once again.

Does anyone know why this might be?

- GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 960
- CPU: Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.5 GHz
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz DDR3 16 GB (2x8GB)

I have speakers connected via the rear I/O panel plugs on the back of my case/ motherboard, and I am using headphones, plugged in via the headphone & mic ports on the front/ top of my case.
I will hazard a guess, and say my motherboard MAY be the problem, as my previous system, never had this issue with Stereo Mix

Hi there,

We, as a clan, have a clan TS3 server (rented from a company). I'm an admin there (with SA rights, I have no server login or something).
I have a friend, Danny (not his real name). One day I gave Danny SA rights. I had an argument with him, so I took his SA rights away (that was few hours later).
Now I can't take his SA rights away. I take it away, somehow he gives himself SA rights back. I don't know HOW he does that.

We have 4 Server groups.
1. Server admin
2. Guest
3. Clan Member
4. VIP

Does anyone know how he does that? I want to know so I can take his SA rights away.

How to make perma ban overwrite temp ban ?

well I got two usergroups, one with max ban time of 7200, and one without max ban time (-1 or 0)

now If i set someone to both these usergroups, it considers the 7200 and ignores the -1/0 (although it should do the opposite)

how to make it work ? (consider the perma one not the temp ban one)

About to release a new Java admin bot with plugin support

Before you comment, yes I know about JTS3ServerMod. However, the fact that there isn't plugin support frustrates me. So, I made my own admin bot that is also built on top of JTS3ServerQuery and has plugin support. So far I have made plugin loading hassle free. The plugins are loaded the same way Bukkit did except functions and chat commands are initialized by the class loader. So far the bot is in alpha, but still is working strong. I plan to release it open source. However, I'm in need of some helpers to manage the wiki and help make some plugins while I continue to work on the framework. If you are interested, just speak up.

Would be nice due to all of the updates and new binary names if there as a script included that you could pass the path to your existing folder that would pull the license, files, database and config into the new "_" folder ("_" due to that now being the filler between OS_architecture from the old "-" in OS-architecture in the folder name).

curious why the change on Linux from tar.gz to tar.bz2 or was that just so people would have to look closer when updating?

Ich habe seit einigerzeit ein problem und zwar das Mein Teamspeak Server einen Fehler verursacht der meinen Kompleten V-Server zum absturtz bringt also alles keine ereichbarkeit mehr.
Ich habe nun ein halbes Jahr knapp zu gebracht den fehler zu finden und habe es nun entlich geschaft und kann mir sicher sein das es am Ts³ server liegt
Ich nutze das neuste debian.

Es handelt sich bei dem fehler um einen Segmentation Fault in der Teamspeak Anwendung.

Dass bedeutet, dass der Team Speak Server beispielsweise 8 Byte Speicher anfordert und
anschließend über den zugewiesenen Speicher hinausschreibt (z.B. versucht 9 Bytes zu schreiben).

I want everyone to have the ability to transmit when no one else is transmitting. Exactly like ventrilo's "queued voice" mode but I don't want to switch every1 to vent if I don't have to. Is there a server plugin that auto-mutes every1 when one begins transmitting and then un-mutes when they stop? I've seen the argument about abuse of the transmitting privelege when it mutes every1 else and my response to that is competent channel moderators keeping things in line.

I have TS3 and overlay set up with a hot key. I start TS3, then load my WWIIOL Battlefield game and hit the hot key. The overlay comes on like its supposed and the game fades. The pop-up screen says to hit the hot key again to begin game play, but when I do, the game comes back, but overlay goes away like I shut it of. What am I doing incorrectly?

The title is pretty explicit : I'm trying to get my users to pay so i don't sell an organ every month to pay my server...
I'm running an OVH Debian 8 dedicated server (not a VPS), with basically a LAMP server, teamspeak, and several game servers.
Our main website is a wordpress, so there are many shop plugins to make my life easier, and i'm pretty sure one could run PHP/MySQL commands on completion to make a kind of management system.

So i thought about using the PHP framework for that purpose... Users would have to indicate their Identity ID when buying, and the server would take care of the rest...

So i'm wondering : Did somebody already worked and published something of that kind ? Should i work on it from scratch ?
I have a very basit PHP knowledge, and basically no MySQL knowledge, so it would be hard to work on it on my own... Any help would be very appreciated.

Channel/Lobby Music Options in the future?

I really wish that there can be a option where you can insert a mp3, WAV or a link to play your music from in your teamspeak channels. In all honesty I really dislike downloading random virtual audio cables and random music sources and to me it's such a hassle.

Cause honestly I rather have a channel and/or a lobby where I can play specific music playlist or a singular song that is on loop, rather than getting a different computer/laptop to play music from and sometimes that doesn't work out well and then there's just risking a bad download and your computer gets trashed with malicious software.

How many of you guys think that this should be implemented into teamspeak. Cause I really want some good "elevator" music in my lobby when people join my server and other channels.

The headset of a friend sometimes with voice activation a noise, but sometimes not.
At the headset itself, it is also not, because sometimes the voice is indeed completely rauschlos.
Have you perhaps solutions?
Should something come up with programs or drivers would also be nice if you writes how to find out what drivers / programs you need.

Hi guys,

so i have this weird glitch or bug, i don't know what it is. I have a USB headset (Siberia V3 Prism) and sometimes it happens that i bull the USB out of the port so it disconnects. And this is where the trouble happens. I plug the headset back in the port, but then my voice sounds like a robot, also on voice test. I restart teamspeak, but then it's still happening. If i go to the control pannel and check the option: listen to microphone, everything sounds normal. Also on ingame chat it sounds normal, but not on teamspeak. I often have to restart my PC in order to fix this. Does anybody knows what's up with it??

I have used freedns.afraid.org to point to a public IP. What I want is, to buy a domain with namecheap.com, than add ts.DOMAIN.com to point to my public IP address, and just DOMAIN.com to a website, (not sure what website to use) and my email to be admin@DOMAIN.com.

I have NO IDEA how to do this, and this thread is probably in the wrong spot but I would like as much help as possible.

Serious Permissions Problem (Latest TS3 Client Windows)

Hi guys,

I recently did a permissions test on one of my servers.
I'll lay it out for you:

Added a server password
My permissions tester is in normal group, and does not have permission to ignore the server password.

Permissions tester connected to server just fine with a password added to it.
Haven't touched permissions in a few months, because they had been working just fine.

Another example is, on one server I have a members only download area, which is currently set to needed browse power of 55, and download of 55.
The normal group has file upload, download & browse of 50, with browse without channel password. I used my permissions tester in the normal group, accessed my member's only area, and downloaded all member exclusive files, all with file powers of 50.

I don't know about anyone else, but for me, this is a serious problem. I've had to shut down my clan server as a result of this.

Distinguish Channel and Server group add/remove power

I use channle groups to restrict acces and other things on per Clan basis (every clan has section of channels). So I have Channel Admin, Moderator, Access channel groups, its quit obvious how it works.

So my problem is, I also have servergroups for each clan (officer and member) with respective distinguishing names and Icons (ie Planetside Member, Planetside Officer, Warthunder Officer, Warthunder member). I want to give Officers (server group) option to add people to respective member servergroups (I do not really mind if they can add to all these Member groups), I have channel group add permissions 20,15,5 and these member servergroups 30. So there is no way how to let these leaders assign servergroups only, because that will give them power to hand out channelgroups outside of their clan channels.

Is there any way to resolve this ? I really would like to just distinguish channelgroup add power and servergroup add power (and their respective remove powers)

Deny sending a private message to a server query

I have a bot connected via ServerQuery (different tasks, alert when user XY comes online etc.), the bot has its own server group.
Since I only want to enable the bot for regulars on my server I set the i_client_needed_serverquery_view_power high enough, so other people cannot see him.
The problem is when the bot writes something in the chat people can click on the name and send a message to it without seeing the bot in the channel list.
So I set the i_client_needed_private_textmessage_power high enough to prevent that but it seems that it does not work.
When I assign myself to the bot group people can no longer send me a message.
So, does the i_client_needed_private_textmessage_power not work on ServerQuery clients?
I don't really want to rewrite the code of the bot to check if someone who sends a message is actually one of the regulars.

Hello Guys,
to go for it quickly:
I set up private channels for moderators in my teamspeak and dont want to move the musicbot we have in there, because they are in most situation just there alone, so they could join the standard musicbot channel.
I dont want to remove the generall permission to move the musicbot, just for this certain channel.
Is this possible (with like Channel groups or Channel User permissions)?

Resolved Cant connect to specific server

TS3 Stops Transmitting.....

I use TS3 with Push-to-Talk enabled (Ctrl), and it works fine for a while until it randomly stops transmitting voice. When pressing the push to talk key it doesn't change the color of the circle, showing that its actually transmitting voice. Normally, it should change color every time the key is pressed. The only way I have found to fix it is restarting the client.... which get annoying

- Already reinstalled TS3
- Fresh OS reinstall
- New Mic (Mod Mic)

I would like to hear from the veteran plugin devs if this concept of mine is possible before I ask my developers to tackle this.

I would like to add a donation section on ny website where my community can donate to get their own permanent channel on our ts server. The plugin would have to get the info from the form they filled out and then also take their unique identifier and make them channel admin. Would this be possible?
Before you ask btw yes I'm using a paid server from a company and no npl license.

Hey guys, i just rebuild my compelte pc with all new drivers etc.

When i open ts3 i see in my processes that TS3 starts with the same time as "werfault" does it

but after seconds it closes themselves.

I can't install plugins.

So today i tried to download clownfish and a soundboard plugin() that my friends have but whenver i double click the files whcih end with a .ts3_plugin i see the plugin installator starting in my task manager but i don't see anything on my screen and after 5 seconds it dissapears on the task manager aswell, i tried to install the plugins with teamspeak closed like the installations said but then i tried to do it while ts was open and still same thing happened, i also went to my appdata and found my ts3 folder but there was no plugin folder is that the problem? i also didnt find a thing called createfileassoc.exe like i saw in some other posts

The best reference I have found so far... was this guys -- which is in German. Regardless... it seems to be very limited.
This cannot be all the events available to receive notifications for..

If some Teamspeak Support could get back to me on this... that would be great.. because right now, documentation is running at ZERO.

Cannot connect to a server I've been using for months with no issues

Whenever i try to connect to my usual server it can't connect and just says 'Error'

That's all it shows, I'm using windows 10 (No updates to install)
I've tried disabling my firewall and tested that, still nothing, reset computer, router etc. uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing and still it won't connect!

It just randomly cut off in the middle of a game with my friends.

as I said the IP is 209.247.83.121:9166, I've tried connecting to the teamspeak test server and that works fine.

Any help would be gladly appreciated!

Since today, i have some issues to connect to a Teamspeak server. I usally connect myself to this server everyday, but today it's not working, i don't know why !

DNS Issues

Admin rank can add/remove other admin but cant add/remove lower ranks

Hello,

I have created 2 admin ranks. One of them is "Admin" which I want to be a rank below "Server Admin".
The other is "Raid Admin" which I want to be a rank below "Admin".
Order Highest to Lowest would be:
1: Server Admin
2: Admin
3: Raid Admin

Admin can add/remove other Admin to server group Admin but the option to add/remove Raid Admin is greyed out.
Raid admin cannot add/remove any other rank as everything else is greyed out.

How can I make it so Admin can add/remove other Admin and Raid Admin? and make it so Raid Admin can add/remove other Raid Admin but not Admin?

I have searched around the forums and changed around i_group_needed and i_group_member add/remove permissions but nothing seems to work :(

Hi, in TeamSpeak 3 i use - Push to Talk button.

When i want speak i press button and start talk, so when speaking at the same time another player so he muted and no hear him.
How do I stop talking and I let the button so all can hear normally again.

For some odd reason I tried to reinstall TS3 after not using it for a while and then when i open it it prompts saying "The specified service does not exist as an installed service". Can you guys help me work out a fix because its getting annoying. I tried almost everything. From reinstalling, to restarting my pc, clearing my browser data, A full reboot, Cleaning/Scanning my computer, Re downloading it several times. And it still won't work. I run a 64 bit operating system and I'm quite aware of all the system requirements in order to run it. Plz help!!! :( TS2 is the only thing that seems to work...

Server with Multiple Interfaces and voice_ip

Hi,

I run a Teamspeak server on a windows box with 2 interfaces. I always want Teamspeak to use interface A. If I disable interface B, everything works fine. However, with Interface B in operation Teamspeak defaults to Interface B and then doesn't work because it's using the wrong interface.

I have searched the forums and found a few people with this similar problem, but it doesn't seem like anyones problems were resolved. A lot of people including Teamspeak support says there is a built in way to specify which interface Teamspeak uses with the voice_ip switch. I have attempted to use the voice_ip switch via a shortcut with it in the target box and in the ts3server.ini. I'm not sure what ip the switch is actually asking for so I tried putting the interface ip, the default gateway of the interface, and the external ip for the interface. the voice_ip switch was reported to not work by all of the posts I read and it doesn't seem to work for me either. I also tried the ForceBindIP program, which doesn't launch the TS3 server either with no errors.

So I'm just really hoping I'm being dumb and doing something wrong. So if someone could please point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

Future of TeamSpeak

I'm a huge fan of TeamSpeak and using it since TS2. And that's the reason why I'm saying what I'm about to say.


It really hurts me that more and more people are leaving Teamspeak and using other crap-software from Keyboard-
manufacturers (Razer) or random company's like Discord, just because it's free (but they are surely paying with there data or such thinks) and way more modern looking and many people loving this new material (thanks google..) look of those programs.

So I'm really in love with TeamSpeak and all the features it has to offer (integrated-File-server, plugins, addons, skins, 3D sound, etc..etc..) but what's coming for the Future? I mean you guys must admit that the Software-Face (GUI) isn't really the state of the art any more.

I got no problem with it, I'm used to it, but there is surely potential for more.

The reason why I'm suggest a new interface with (maybe) new features, is that I don't want to lose TeamSpeak due to lack of user/customers. I want a TeamSpeak 4 or 5 when I'm old :(


And because this is a suggestion thread, I suggest you guys a look on the discord app for windows, I don't like discord thaaat much, but I must admit, it has a much clearer Interface than TeamSpeak ever had.
And I don't say "make it exactly like Discord is doing it !!!111oneone". No, but maybe take a look and get some ideas from it, I mean, as long as it is possible for you awesome guys which provided me with so many happy and funny moments over the past few years :)

On our server we have a lot of simultaneous matches taking place, often filling up the channels we have dedicated to them! I was wondering if there was a plugin which would make another room as soon as the room above is filled up. Ok, that was terribly explained, so let me try again:

1. Room 1 Only
2. Someone enters room 1
3. Room 2 is created with correct settings
4. Someone enter room 2
5. Room 3 is created with correct settings
6. Room 2 is empty
7. Room 2 is deleted
8. And the process continues

Microphone Disabled in TS3

Hello when got into teamspeak today i realised that my microphone was disabled. Even though it worked fine yesterday and works fine on skype it just keeps saying disabled. Hi, I'm using a hudl 2 android device, version 5.1. Teamspeak 3 was working perfectly fine until a few days ago when I tried to open it and almost immediately after pressing the icon, it said that teamspeak had stopped. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and it keeps encountering the same issue every time.

The owner of the Teamspeak server has given me Admin rights but I am not allowed to use them and it doesnt show me as part of the server group next to my name, are we missing something that needs to be done on either of our ends or am I just bugged?

If I add a password to a channel, it will turn it yellow.
But I have some channels that are red and I have no idea why.
I'm trying to turn some new channels I made red, to match the others.

I think this is the right place to post this... as I'm configuring a server's channels.

Long, continuous whispers to Server Groups seem to occasionally ignore the custom Volume set for the whispering client.

I noticed that with a Musicbot that whispers to a Server group, people usually decrease it's volume, but sometimes they get sudden Volume increases that can usually be fixed by just selecting the bot, going into "Change Volume" and clicking ok...

Hi There,

I run Teamspeak-Server since many years but with Teamspeak 3 I always run into the same Problem (right now because of an system update wich obviously uninstalled the libmysqlclient.so.15). I have a up-to-date Debian Server and Teamspeak wants an outdated Library which isn't in the repositorys.

Teamspeak wants the libmysqlclient.so.15, current version is libmysqlclient.so.18.

Teamspeak-Team, please update your mysql library dependence, I don't feel very comfortable to have such old things installed.

chat text to speech?

Is there a way to do chat text to speech in teamspeak? I don't mean the server messages, I mean actual channel chat where people can type to each other. I have a few friends without microphone and it's a hasstle to have to alt-tab to see what they typed constantly.

Is there any way to change the fontsize of the chat on the android app? I'd like to use the app on my tablet so I can see chat while in full screen game, when I socialize with friends (some don't have microphones) seeing as there is no text to speech for chat, as far as I know.

But from what I've seen from the app, the textsize is too small for my bad eyesight, even with my glasses on, so I would like to be able to increase the size of it.

Hey there, I want to play a wav file with my plugin, it returns error_ok (0) but for some reason I don't see any audio being broadcasted. When I looked in the client log however it gives me this error: "11.12.2015 01:22:12 GenericPlayback Error WavePlayData::initCallback recieved error 2316" . Any ideas how I can fix this?!??!

Teamspeak blocking/muting sound from ETS2 ingame radio player

In Euro Truck Simulator 2, you can stream live radio streams within the game.

All my currently bookmarked radio stations in the game stream perfectly when Teamspeak is not on.
However, when Teamspeak is on - the game acts like it's playing the radio stream - but no radio comes through the speakers at all.

If I turn Teamspeak off, the radio comes back.

Before posting here, I looked around on the Game's forums etc (SCS), the only thing I found out was that ETS2 outputs radio streams using Direct Sound. Therefore I dutifully changed the options in Teamspeak to use Windows Audio Session instead for input/output device, but no dice - Problem persists.

No other sound from the game is affected, just the radio stream.
The streams work just fine with TS on if I'm using vlc/wmp. But that's not as convenient as the in-game radio player.

So the question is, does this seemingly game-specific issue happen for anyone else and, Why is it happening?

Because I have messed with all the audio related settings in the game, windows and teamspeak itself and, I am no closer to solving this - in fact it has me perplexed.


I have one mic, and one output device (Microphone/Speakers - VIA High Definition Audio).
OS is Windows 7 (x64) Ultimate.

I am using TeamSpeak3 for about 3 months and all of this time on Windows 10. About a month ago, microphone stopped working. When I was pressing a "Hotkey" no one could hear me, so I made a test in Settings and it showed that microphone can "hear" only very loud noises. I tried to change a capture device from "Default" to "Microphone (Conexant SmartAudio HD)" and capture mode from "Automatically" to "Direct Sound" but nothing has worked. Next I uninstalled TS3 with reset of all my settings and istalled it again but it still doesn't work. Please notice, that microphone works normally with other programs (for example with Skype). Another thing is that when TS3 is on, microphone stops working at all the system.
Please, help mi with this thing.

Fps Drop after in games after teamspeak message

Hey guys, i recently invested in a 144 hz monitor, and noticed every time someone types in teamspeak my FPS drops in game ( all the games ive tried so far; Just cause 3, CS:GO, Hearthstone, Starcraft 2 & World of warcraft ) my fps lowers to 60 FPS for several seconds before going back up, i'm not too sure if anyone else has had this issue and i had a google around and couldnt find anything I will list my PC specs below i am happy to purchase anything in order to fix this issue, ive tried running teamspeak + the game as admin and this didnt help, thanks in advance.

I have a problem where Teamspeak 3 has no volume. Im notexactly sure when this error started occuring as i believe it developed while i was afk downloading content.

What basically is happening is teamspeak 3 is open on my computer, volume is functioning for all programs exept ts3 and teamspeak 3 does not appear in the volume mixer. I am running windows 10 and am using Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
